HOW IT ALL STARTED...

Robin Fritsch of Sioux Falls founded the Supersquads program in 1996. It was the first organized youth cheerleading program in the state of South Dakota. In the beginning, Supersquads operated under the National Cheerleaders Association. It now functions independently as a non-profit organization for youth with the goal of exposing young girls to the benefits of cheerleading. The program began with a team of 12 girls ages 5-12.

We now operate 7 teams, which consists of: K-2 team, 2-3 team, 4-6 team, 6-9 middle school team, and 3 competition teams (Youth, Junior and Senior).

Dakota Spirit strives to remain on the cutting edge of cheerleading.
